About Gina N. Brown
Gina N. Brown is a practical theologian, spiritual health practitioner,
community chaplain, and creator of spaces for spiritual and
emotional care, formation, and belonging.
She is the Community Steward of The Faith Studio and founder
of Hibiscus Wellness, two distinct expressions of a vocation rooted
in care, curiosity, rest, community, and making room for people to
bring their whole selves.
At the heart of Gina's work is a desire to create spaces where
people can ask honest questions, receive care, encounter God,
and find their spiritual and emotional bearings.
She is especially drawn to the edges of faith, the places where
certainty gives way to curiosity, where old understandings are
being reconsidered, and where people are trying to make sense of
what they believe, what they have experienced, and what faith might look like now.
Gina comes to this work with God-curiosity and a deep appreciation for the many ways people relate to faith.
Over the past 30 years, she has journeyed through many faith traditions. What some might call “church hopping,” Gina now understands as becoming ecumenically literate. Those experiences taught her to listen across traditions, recognize the gifts and limitations within them, and remain curious about the many ways people encounter God.
Gina holds two seminary degrees, an MDiv and MAPT, from Columbia Theological Seminary. She is also an Emory-trained Spiritual Health Clinician and Chaplain, skilled in Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT) and Compassion-Centered Spiritual Health (CCSH).
In October 2026, Gina will be ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a public affirmation of a call that has already been unfolding through years of spiritual care, formation, community, and ministry.
Her calling is to accompany people as they find their spiritual and emotional bearings and to create spaces where care, belonging, curiosity, rest, and formation can coexist.
That calling takes shape in two distinct but connected ways.
Through The Faith Studio, Gina creates and stewards community for the faithful, the curious, and the tired. It is a place for gathering, conversation, spiritual practice, creativity, formation, and exploring faith with room for honest questions.
Through Hibiscus Wellness, Gina offers spiritual and emotional care for people who need a more personal space for accompaniment, reflection, rest, discernment, and tending to their inner lives.
Together, The Faith Studio and Hibiscus Wellness form a wider ecosystem of spiritual and emotional care, rooted in rest, belonging, and honest exploration.
And underneath all of those titles and descriptions, Gina is still an island girl who will always love to “lime.”
Born and raised in Bermuda, Gina's roots have shaped the way she understands hospitality, community, and making room for people. The sun, salt water, family, friends, and good conversation remain some of the things that make her feel most at home.
Gina and her husband, Isaac, have shared more than 27 years of marriage and are raising their one-and-done, Zahria-Jade. Family, both the one that formed her and the one she has built, remains deeply woven into who she
is and how she understands care, belonging, and community.
If you have found your way here, there is no single way you need to enter.
For those looking for community, conversation, and spiritual formation, there is The Faith Studio.
For those looking for personal spiritual and emotional care, there is Hibiscus Wellness.
And for those who simply want to listen in, Gina hosts The Faith Studio Podcast, where conversations about faith, life, culture, and the questions people carry are given room to breathe.
There are many doors.
You are welcome to begin with the one that feels right for you.
