What kinds of books do you read?

The goal of Seasonal Reads Book Club is to continue the conversation and learning which happens in our community gatherings.  Our studio themes center around the three tenets of The Faith Studio which are connection, inspiration and exploration.

Subjects we hope to cover are:
	- different types of theologies with an emphasis on liberation
	- faith centered self-care
	- titles at the intersection of life and faith
	- titles that intersect faith and justice

Question 2

How many books does the club read per year?

As the book club is new and we are feeling our way forward, ever mindful that people have busy lives.

Currently we have two scheduled readings.  One in the Fall with is our FALL READ and another in the Winter which will be our WINTER READ which coincide with our programing schedule.

Depending on outcomes we may schedule a summer reading.

So, the complete answer would be we will be reading 2-3 books a year.

How does the book club work?

The book selections are posted at the beginning of the season.  Allowing those that wish to participate ample opportunity time purchase the book.

Interested participants must register for the seasonal read.  Once registered, participants will be granted access to the course.

For each book reading there is a mid-book gathering on a Saturday morning which provide opportunity to share aspects of the book with fellow readers and a silent read to catch up on your reading in community.  The information is found on the book's show page.

Additionally, there is a finally for each book read that brings offers a final discussion about the book.  We hope to invite the author to the final gathering whenever possible.  In order for this to be feasible there may be a cost.  The information about author participation and to RSVP for the ticketed event will be on the book's show page.

Where do I sign up for the read?

New this season we are planning to have a book club community page (FB like) where we can discuss the book as we read.  Please sign up and get into the conversation.

Please RSVP for the midway read gathering found on each book's show page.

Additionally, either RSVP or purchase your ticket (depending on the author's participation) for the book's final read.

Where to purchase the book?

For those living internationally, should you not be able to receive the book in time to start the read consider purchasing the kindle/eBook or the audible version.
