About The Faith Studio
A Wider Door Into Faith and Community
The Faith Studio exists because the longing for God, meaning, care, and community does not disappear simply because someone's relationship with church has changed.
Some people remain deeply connected to a local congregation. Others find themselves on the edges of institutional religion. Some are deconstructing or reconstructing what they believe. Some carry questions their faith communities have not made room for. Some are spiritually independent. And some are simply tired and looking for a place where they do not have to perform certainty in order to belong.
The Faith Studio makes room for all of them.
We are a church-adjacent, ecumenical faith community created for the faithful, the curious, and the tired.
Our purpose is simple: to hold the church door open a little wider.
A Sanctuary With Many Doors
The Faith Studio is built around a simple idea: there should be more than one way to enter sacred community.
For some, the door may be a gathering. For others, it may be a podcast conversation, Bible study, journaling, creativity, prayer, a spiritual practice, or pastoral care. Some may participate regularly. Others may come close for a season, step away, and return when they are ready.
There is no expectation that everyone participate in the same way.
We believe people should have agency in how they engage their spiritual lives and communities of faith. The different doors of The Faith Studio create room for people to enter in ways that are meaningful to them and at a pace that honors where they are.
You do not have to walk through every door to belong here.
A Digital Parish With a Developing Local Footprint
The Faith Studio is digital by design.
Our digital spaces allow people across geography, traditions, identities, and life circumstances to enter the life of this community. They also make room for people who may not be ready, able, or interested in entering a traditional church building.
But digital does not mean disconnected.
Community within The Faith Studio takes many forms. Some people gather regularly and have come to know one another deeply. They remember one another's stories, notice when someone is missing, offer care and encouragement, laugh together, wrestle with questions together, and keep showing up for one another.
Others participate more quietly. They may listen to a conversation, engage a spiritual practice, journal, read a reflection, create, pray, or return to a resource when they need it.
Both are ways of belonging.
The doors of The Faith Studio are not separate programs surrounding a community. Together, they are the community. Each offers a different way to participate in a shared life of care, formation, faith, curiosity, and connection.
Some doors create opportunities to know and be known by others. Some offer room for personal reflection and encounter with God. Some do both. People are free to move among them as their lives, needs, and seasons change.
Alongside this digital parish, The Faith Studio is also developing a local footprint through in-person opportunities for care, creativity, conversation, and connection.
The local and digital expressions are not competing versions of The Faith Studio. They are different ways this community takes shape.
Wherever and however someone enters, our hope is the same: to cultivate a sanctuary where people can encounter God, one another, and themselves with honesty and care.
Church-Adjacent, Not Church-Avoidant
The Faith Studio does not exist to replace the church.
We love the church enough to believe there should be room to ask where its doors have become too narrow, where people have been overlooked or harmed, and where new expressions of Christian community might be needed.
Being church-adjacent allows us to remain connected to the Christian tradition while creating room for curiosity, questioning, exploration, and people whose relationship with institutional religion may be complicated.
Some who enter The Faith Studio are active members of congregations. Some are between churches. Some are deconstructing or reconstructing. Some are unsure whether they will ever return to institutional church.
There is room here for all of those stories.
Rooted in Christian Faith. Open to Honest Exploration.
The Faith Studio is rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus and shaped by a Christian understanding of grace, justice, compassion, hospitality, and community.
We are also ecumenical.
We recognize that Christian traditions do not all read Scripture, understand God, practice faith, or experience church in exactly the same way. Rather than pretending those differences do not exist, we make room to learn across them.
Questions are welcome here.
So are uncertainty, curiosity, lived experience, and the wisdom people carry from their own cultures, communities, and stories.
Faith does not have to be fragile in order to be faithful.
Connected to the Wider Church
The Faith Studio is a New Worshiping Community of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) within the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.
That connection gives The Faith Studio roots within the wider church while allowing us to explore what
Christian community can look like beyond familiar models of congregational life.
The community is stewarded by Gina N. Brown, a practical theologian, spiritual health practitioner, and community chaplain. In October 2026, Gina will be ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Her formation in pastoral care, chaplaincy, practical theology, spiritual formation, and ecumenical ministry shapes The Faith Studio's commitment to creating spaces where people can bring their whole selves.
How We Gather Matters
Making room for people requires more than saying, “Everyone is welcome.”
It requires attention to how we listen, how we hold difference, how we honor people's stories, and how we care for one another when conversations become complicated.
The Faith Studio has developed a shared culture to help guide how we gather and participate together.
Come As You Are
Come with your faith.
Come with your curiosity.
Come with what you know and what you are still questioning.
Come tired.
Come hopeful.
Come unsure.
Come needing room to breathe.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you enter.
There are many doors into this sanctuary.
Choose the one that meets you where you are.
